Sources, images, footage and music
5:12 · eight chapters · music-led film
The film follows surviving records from the Canary Islands to northern New Spain, the Río Grande frontier, Laredo and San Antonio. Original Revilla manuscripts, the 1825 land petition and Pedro Herrera’s service cards anchor parts of the story; other links depend on studies, indexes or earlier record readings. Gaps remain between generations, and the 1585/1583 marriage-year dispute stays visible. The historical timeline ends in 1940; Carlisle is the 2026 retelling frame.

The estimated Atlantic crossing has no established vessel, exact sailing date or landing port. A later landscape, map or photograph supplies dated context, not a depiction of an earlier family event. No face in a context image is identified as family.
The 1585/1583 marriage-year dispute remains open. The second Revilla household-list locator is 241f, not 241v; Tadeo’s parentage is not inferred. The unsupported 1685 Bernardo declaration quotation is omitted.
The public historical timeline ends with the 1940 Bexar County marriage return. Carlisle is the 2026 place of retelling; it does not supply a modern family migration year.
